Key stages of thesis submission
- Completion of the Notice of Submission Form by the student within eProg – My eProg > My Examination Summary
Note: The Notice of Submission Form is available up to 6 months before the thesis submission deadline and should be completed 4-6 weeks before the thesis deadline.
- Completion of the Notice of Submission Form (Supervisor) by the main supervisor within eProg – My eProg > My Examination Tasks
Note: Supervisor completion of the notice form opens the electronic submission window in eThesis
- Completion of the Nomination of Examiners Form by the main supervisor within eProg – My eProg > My Examination Tasks
- Approval of examiners by the PGR Tutor or Director within eProg
- Submission of a PDF document within eProg - My eProg > My eThesis Tasks
- Thesis examination by examiners
- Viva exam
- Examiner recommendations
- Minor corrections or resubmission (this will begin the process again with a Notice of Resubmission appearing within eProg)
- Corrections approved by internal examiner and confirmed in eProg (minor corrections only)
- Ratification of result by the Research Degrees Panel
- Electronic submission window opened by the Doctoral Academy office following confirmation of corrections
- Submission of a final PDF document within eProg - My eProg > My eThesis Tasks
- Published result
- Registration for graduation
- Graduation
Students who request that their thesis should be examined under restriction should complete the Restriction Form and submit this signed form with their thesis.
